Canyon Networks was founded in 2008 by Sean Harrington, whose vision is to provide cutting edge IT solutions at a price that Maine businesses can afford. Sean’s extensive technology background provides him with the experience to guide almost any company to a stronger and more productive IT foundation.

In 2010, Sean was prepared to take Canyon Networks to the next level and decided to bring in long time associate Travis Allen as a partner in the business. As a former successful business owner and Vice President of Information Technology, Travis is a perfect compliment to Sean’s talents.

With their combined experience, Sean and Travis have not only successfully implemented extremely difficult IT projects, but have lived through the challenges that businesses face when trying to keep their companies on the cutting edge of technology with a tight budget. It is this understanding of business and technology needs that sets Canyon Networks apart from its competition.

Sean Harrington, founder and President of Canyon Networks.  Sean founded the company, after several years as IT Director for  The Telford Group. In this position he managed the IT of 14  remote facilities performing services for the government, as well  as the commercial aviation facilities located in Maine. As a  veteran he understands the necessity of accomplishing a mission  on time, on budget, and at a high standard. Taking his efforts full  time in 2010, he saw the need for high value IT services for small  businesses, from someone who could understand both the  business and the technology. With 20 years of professional  experience installing and managing IT systems, Sean has wide  variety of experience from end user support, to managing  systems, to network engineering, design, installation and support.
Sean became a Certified Fiber Optic Technician (CFOT) in 2013,  and since then has become a Certified Fiber Optic Specialist /  Instructor. Certifying and training the next generation of CFOTs.  His experience is not limited to the classroom. Utilizing his  troubleshooting experience, he has travelled the country repairing  or installing systems in various Wind and Solar power generation  facilities, manufacturing plants, hotels, multi dwelling units, and  corporate facilities.

Travis Allen, VP of Canyon Networks, was previously an owner of  The Telford Group and brings his 25 years of diverse business  experience to the table. While at Telford, Travis played many  roles in the business including VP of Information Technology.  Travis joined Canyon Networks as a partner in 2010 because of his  passion for technology and respect for Sean’s talents.
